Lauren

Tortoiseshell

large, adult, female

According to Matt, Lauren was reportedly "beaten with a hammer and thrown from a window." Her lower-right-front leg was partially paralyzed. After wandering the streets she was picked up and taken to an animal "shelter" in Queens where she was slated for euthanasia. A friend of Matt's saw her there and took her to him.

Although poised and independent, she is a very sweet kitty who likes to be near you. Despite the nerve damage to her right front paw, she gets along amazingly well - jumping, running, and climbing as if there were nothing wrong with her. She is eight years old, gets along well with other cats, is very appreciative of attention, and would make a wonderful companion.
